What Adrian Peterson did to get on this list all happened throughout 2012, but it all paid off in 2013. Throughout the 2012-2013 season Adrian Peterson hammered opposing defenses ultimately rushing for 2,097 yards. He fell just short 9-yards of Eric Dickerson’s all-time single season rushing record.

Peterson’s performance throughout the year also garnered the Minnesota Vikings an NFL playoffs spot. Later on this summer Peterson will also be gracing the cover of EA Sports yearly Madden football game.
Oh it looks like I forgot to mention he did all that on the field following a season where he tore his ACL and MCL.
