Early this morning, DMX was arrested for a DUI in South Carolina
DMX had another unfortunate run-in with the police earlier today. DMX was caught driving under the influence in South Carolina were he was pulled over by authorities. Earl Simmons was also charged with not possessing a drivers license. According to TMZ, Simmons was taken in by Highway Patrol at 3 A.M. and was released from Greenville County Detention Center an hour later.
DMX is no stranger to the law and has quite the hefty rap sheet. We’ll provide more information as the story develops.
Update: A statement has been released on behalf of DMX.
“Allegations about DMX being arrested for drunk driving are false. He was arrested early this morning but quickly released. X was given a breathalyzer test and easily passed it. He is back at his home in South Carolina and we are continuing our focus on his upcoming album and acting roles.”
