These sisters voices undoubtably made us “Weak.”
No other song’s lyrics can accurately describe a stomach full of butterflies better than SWV’s “Weak.” Every 80’s and 90’s baby alike has got to have at least one boo they’ve dedicated this song to.
“Weak” – which was released on May 6, 1993 – hit number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 that July for two weeks. It also sat atop the Hot R&B singles chart for 2 consecutive weeks.
Because of the great success of the record and all of the memories it created for our generation, “Weak” hitting the top of the charts is one of Her Source’s favorite girl group moments.
