Though “Amen” was originally Young Jeezy’s record—and a decent amount of people have admitted to liking his version over the official one—Pusha T laced the dark instrumental with one of the better verses of his career. Not to be outdone, in the midst of the Egypt uprisings of the summer of 2011, Kanye closed out his verse with “In Egypt they fightin’ for freedom, cops pull you over, no reason? Beat ‘em.” But its what came before the conclusive declaration that lands “Amen” at numero cuarenta.
