There are verses, and then there are verses. From a technical standpoint, Kanye’s 2007 spoken word-reminiscent piece about the painful road to success may not seem like it should make the relatively short list of his greatest works, but after a few listens we dare you to argue. Every calculated, emotionally charged word uttered with uncanny conviction help make “I Wonder” one of Graduation’s standouts, and Kanye’s 39th best.
