Aaliyah‘s “Try Again” was the motivational anthem of the new millenium. The sweet voice of the R&B princess combined with her killer choreography for the record had little girls from all over glued to their TV screens (because that’s where we used to watch videos) when the visuals for this one came on.
You may also remember this track being the lead single from the soundtrack for Romeo Must Die, the flick in which Aaliyah co-starred alongside Jet Li.
“Try Again” reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 17, 2000.
Our angel’s Grammy-nominated hit record was undoubtedly the summer jam of 2000.
