We all know Curren$y will be putting out music probably until he’s dead. All he’s done is find more creative ways to do it. From releasing two LP’s in a span of 6 months in 2010, and his full-length This Ain’t No Mixtape LP being released completely digitally on Amalgam’s digital label, Curren$y has never been one to just hand over songs to the public. Extending his reign at the top of the free music plateau, Spitta teams up with his Jet Life label to collaborate with BitTorrent for the Red Eye mixtape experience. Bundled along with free merchandise opportunities, ticket giveaways and a CJ Wallis-directed documentary. This is all before we get to the music, which, alongside Curren$y’s historically consistent efforts, features contributions from Fiend, Young Roddy, Trademark Da Skydiver and “Levels” producer Cardo, who collaborated with Curren$y on the sequel to their Stoned Immaculate collaboration, “Showroom”, which finds its home on Red Eye‘s tracklist.
