Darq E. Freaker, the British Grime producer/DJ, performed a mix for Fader last night. During his set, he debut a new collaboration with Danny Brown, entitled “Hand Stand”. These two are familiar with one another–they worked together on the Blueberry EP, which spawned the party anthem: “Blueberry”. So it comes as no surprise that for his album, Danny would seek out Freaker out once again.
Danny Brown is in his usual groove on the song. His freakiness is still apparent–at one point he reassures a girl that her p***y is under a mistletoe, hence his need to perform cunnilingus. Its explicit, but hyped as a lot of Brown songs are and its damn good as well. Danny Brown has knack for rapping over EDM beats that most emcees would be afraid to touch with a ten foot pole. And this song continues his electronic formula.
