Papoose called into Hot 97 shortly after his version of “Control” was released. Before he called in, Peter Rosenberg gave his take on Papoose’s verse, and how he thought the Brooklyn rapper went too hard on Kendrick. Rosenberg also sees nothing wrong with Kendrick’s “King of New York” claim because he feels K. Dot wanted to stir up controversy in Hip-Hop, which he did.

On the other hand, Papoose took it more personal. HE felt Kendrick’s King of NY line and the line about being a Muslim eating pork was extremely disrespect.
