On Thursday evening, Ne-Yo announced Felicia Millikan as the winner of of the Red Hot Summer of Music competition. She won $1,000 TGIFs gift card and a recording session with the multiple Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter.
Before the big announcement, Philadelphia rapper Chiddy Bang took the stage and performed some past cuts, including “Opposite of Adults,” which appeared on his 2010 EP, Opposite of Adults. He also performed “Breathe,” a track from his forthcoming mixtape, Baggage Claim. After the performance two Ne-Yo autographed hats were given away.
Once that was over and Ne-Yo presenting the winner, he gave an impromptu performance of “Let’s Go.”
Throughout the night, guests munched on appetizers courtesy of TGIFs. For drinks, Ne-Yo’s, who’s the Creative Director for Malibu® Red, customized cocktails were served: Coconut Colada Rita and the Tropical Margarita.
