World’s Fair continues to get fans ready for their upcoming debut album: Bastards of the Party, due out next Tuesday. Today, we get our first view of the album art and tracklist. The cover is reminiscent of N.W.A.‘s Straight Out of Compton mixed with Smif-n-Wessun‘s Dah Shinin’ album art. Each member is seen standing in a circle above the camera, some are looking down, while others are partaking in other activities.
The album will not have any big name features on it, instead the group has decided to flaunt their talents only. Keeping everything in house is a smart idea, it works when you have a collective, just ask Wu-Tang Clan. Their production will mostly be handled by Black Noi$e and SPVCE, both of which have been featured on a lot of the groups previous works. One notable absence is Hannibal King, but they did bring in some new talent in the form of Northern Lights and Jansport J.
They also released their final leak from the album: “Sammy Sosa,” which derived its name from a line by Nasty Nigel–where he said he would bleach his skin like Sammy Sosa. Even though the production is chill, the four emcees get hype and destroy the track. Each one has a solid verse that will leave you scratching your head, debating who had the best one.
