For the past two years, Top and his Top Dawg Entertainment has had all eyes on them. At the end of last year, Kendrick Lamar’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, took the industry by storm, reaching gold status in less than two months after its release and was certified platinum this past June, along with a platinum single, “Swimming Pools,” and a gold one, “Poetic Justice.” ScHoolboy Q is next in line, preparing the release of his official debut album, Oxymoron. In April 2013, TDE announced the GKMC world tour consisting of 23 headlining shows, 22 international festivals, and 15 US summer festivals, though they haven’t kept still in almost a year, with back-to-back tours including spots at South by Southwest, Coachella, Rock the Bells, Hot 97’s Summer Jam, and more. In early 2013, Kendrick Lamar announced that there are two new secret TDE artists and we can’t wait to see what they do next year! —Shenae Craig
