We would hope his third album is better than his second
September 24th is drawing near, and to make sure everyone knows exactly where he is mentally, Drake chatted briefly with MTV about his mindset as he created his third full-length LP this year. He re-iterated that he’ll never make a “straight rap album”, because that’s not how he got in the game (See: Comeback Season, So Far Gone), and he has aspirations “to be Marvin Gaye” in the back of his head. He recently listened to Take Care and noticed certain spots where he could do better, and with Nothing Was The Same, he feels as though he’s achieved that. Watch the short clip, courtesy of MTV News.
