What can I say? This week was a strong one for non major artists. And let’s be clear. That doesn’t mean this music is “underground.” Underground Hip-Hop is not a genre. It simply indicates the level of fame an artist has reached. And some of these artists are just about at the same level of recognition as some of the artists with major label contracts. The difference? You probably haven’t heard of them because the radio won’t play them. Shame, isn’t it?

The Winner’s Circle – “Circle Of Winners”

Whatever you do, make sure it’s exclusive. Don’t follow trends and make your own circle of winners. And that’s exactly what TWC is doing.

Noname Gypsy (feat. The O’My’s) – “Sometimes”

Jarred A.G. – “So I Go”

With the current trend of slow, spaced out production with prominent bass and hi-hat, it’s rare you find a rapper who can put it to use with meaningful lyrics. Listen to Jarred A.G. tell you all about what motivates him to stay on top of his game.

PayUp! Game – “40oz Of Greatness”

Similar to Jarred A.G., Mouf, Ellz, and Bang Boogie demonstrate various flows to give you a fresh pack of greatness over an extra chilled beat.

Mickalas Cage – “The Water”

Water > Gold. Not only is it a life fact, it’s something a lot of people with money and power should consider. Let Mr. Cage explain.

Guilty Simpson & Small Professor (feat. DJ Revolution) – “On The Run”

Small Professor is an exceptional producer that makes some extra grimy beats. Look forward to more of that on his project with the Detroit professional, Guilty Simpson, on September 24th.

Phil Ade (feat. Ice The Villain) – “Devil Is A Lie”

When a producer like !llmind puts out an instrumental EP like Beats For Kanye, you know you’re gonna have an excess of rappers take their shot at a classic. Well Phil Ade keeps it in the family and grabs Ice to do just that. What do ya’ll think?
