The Source Magazine was on the scene for the Carolina Herrera Spring 2014 Presentation a guest of Morgan Taylor Lacquer. Apparently, Carolina is a big fan of Ne-Yo and special requested him to attend her presentation. Ne-Yo graciously accepted the invite and rocked a Carolina Herrera hoodie in the front row.
We spoke with Ne-Yo exclusively backstage after the presentation.
Q: Describe your personal style.
Ne Yo: I dress for comfort. Stylish comfort but comfort. No disrespect for women, but to wear something uncomfortable because it’s cute… that’s something only y’all can get away with cause men…no thank you.
Q: What did you love about the presentation and why did you come to Carolina today?
Ne Yo: Well, I came because I love the fact that the show itself is the essence of ladylike and I’m all about ladylike. There’s nothing better than a woman who can call herself a lady. Now understand a woman and a lady are two different things. A woman is what a guy chooses, lady is what you choose. So I dig the fact that she knows how to dress a lady.
