The Weeknd makes his US late show debut
The Weeknd has gone from the behind-the-curtains, abstract, musically gifted mastermind that helped create an extremely unique ambiance for Drake‘s multi-platinum selling sophomore album Take Care, to the very visible and tangible Republic Records signee whose debut album, Kiss Land, is set to debut at number two on Billboard when the official numbers are released next week. In keeping with his new role, the “Live For” singer took to Jimmy Kimmel’s late night stage to perform one of the better cuts on his album, the DannyBoyStyles-produced “Pretty”.
