Metro Boomin is already a serious name in the production world and he is only nineteen, a fact he flaunts in the title of his new mixtape, 19 & Boomin. In order to get people excited for the project, he dropped off an unheard collaboration with Gucci Mane.
“Up & Down” is a story of the success and failures that come with the drug business, but it might also serve to represent the trajectory of Gucci’s career. The emcee seems to be all about loving the Bricksquad in the song, which contradicts a recent twitter rant, where he pretty much called all of his old friends out for personal reasons (Later, it was revealed that his page was hacked). Crazy antics aside, Boomin definitely did his thing on this track. He will kill fan’s eardrums using his signature dominating drums and melodic synthesizers.
