Recently, J. Cole released the video for crooked smile.
While at the I heart festival in Las Vegas this weekend, Cole took the time out to explain his inspiration for the visuals. Once you watch the video, you’ll see that there’s a obvious theme that goes with it. It’s actually based on the true story of Aiyana Stanley-Jones. He emotionally speaks about how he remembered the tragic event, and how he dedicated the music video to her tragic story.
