Freeman signs with Vikings

Josh Freeman has a new home and that home is with the purple and gold of the Minnesota Vikings. It was reported last night by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Freeman will sign a 1-year deal worth around $3 million.

This move comes after Freeman’s falling out with Tampa Bay head coach Greg Schiano during the early weeks of the season. Freeman was cut by the Buccaneers last week after the Bucs could not find a trade for him.

This move could potentially be either really good for the Vikings or really bad. The good of this would be if the consistent and turnover free Josh Freeman shows up in Minnesota. On the bad side he can do the total opposite of my last sentence as Freeman has the second most turnovers at the QB position since 2011.

This leaves us with two questions, will Josh Freeman ever become a franchise quarterback again? And who will start now for the Vikings, will it be Christian Ponder, Matt Cassel, or Josh Freeman?
