Dodgers are headed to the NLCS

With a 2-1 lead in the NLDS the Los Angeles Dodgers put Clayton Kershaw on the mound with three days rest. Like he did in Game 1 of the series Kershaw came through helping the Dodgers reach the NLCS.

As good as Kershaw was the hero of the game is Juan Uribe. Uribe tried to lay down a bunt to advance Yasiel Puig, but when he couldn’t he did the next best thing; he hit a two run homer. Uribe’s two run shot put the Dodgers back in the driver’s seat with a 4-3 lead in the 8th inning. Carl Crawford also had a solid day adding two home runs, one in the 1st inning and one in the 3rd inning.

Another year and another disappointing postseason for the Atlanta Braves. The elimination of the Braves marks their 6th straight divisional series lost. The Braves have not won a postseason series since 2001.

The Dodgers await the Game 5 winner of the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals which will be played tomorrow night (October 9th) at 8:00 pm on TBS.
