Jay Z Â Magna Carta Holy Grail/Samsung campaign
During the fifth game of the NBA finals in 2013, Jay Z was featured in a new commercial by Samsung where he announced his twelfth studio album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. The album was made available as a free download to the first one million users of a particular app created by Samsung three days before the official release. Jay Z also released lyrics via the Samsung app to every song from the album before any audio was released in order to have his fans focus on lyrics again.
