Make no bones about it, L.A. emcee Nipsey Hussle is hell bent on revolution. He released his latest body of work, Crenshaw, a project he touts as  “the first $100 album”, a week ago and made only a 1,000 physical copies of the project available. The move, which was criticized by some, seems to have resonated with the rapper’s fan base as well as drawn the attention of major hip-hop players such as Jay Z, who bought 100 units himself. Nipsey has coined the term “Proud2Pay” as his slogan for the movement, a phrase he feels sums up fan’s willingness to fork out cash for an artists they support, especially if the quality of output is high.

Neighborhood Nip linked up with Director Kenneth Wynn to document the LPs release, give an inside scoop on his views of the current music industry model, and explain the reasoning behind selling a free project for such a relatively high price. Watch the documentary and check out the project for free HERE or purchase an exclusive physical copy at iamproud2pay.com.
