For those not familiar with R.E.M’s smash hit “Losing My Religion,” producer Scoop Deville and drummer Travis Barker gave the alternative rock song a hot, hip hop update. The former Blink 182 member debuted the track on a radio show yesterday. The bass-filled remix features the memorable vocals over accompanied by Barker’s melodic skills behind the drums.
The exclusive remix of the will be featured on Scoop’s new mixtape Scoopaloops Vol. 1. Scoop plans to drop the tape through Barker’s Famous Stars & Strapes & Stalk Market Records soon. The mixtape will also feature other remixes of tracks like Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre’s “The Recipe.”
