Nicki Minaj dropped by The Queen Latifah Show to talk about her signature clothing line, which is now available at KMart. During the interview, the YMCMB artist and Queen Latifah traded slang as they talked about the blue, black and red spandex outfit she was wearing at the moment. When talking about the collection, Nicki Minaj made it very clear that this business move is fan driven.
“I really am doing it for them. I want them to feel sort of like a connection. I feel like as an entertainer, you kind of lose connection with your fans if you get too successful at times because the stuff that I could talk to them about, maybe I’ve out grown it. Maybe they no longer relate,” she says.
Nicki Minaj is extremely active when it comes to engaging with her Barbz on social media and at events. Oh, and of course she brought out the British accent to introduce a surprise for Queen Latifah’s audience: A $75 giftcard.
