PAY ATTENTION TO BOUNTIES

Visit streaming.thesource.com for more information

Players on the map are shown as white circles, if a player’s circle turns red with a black X behind it that player has a bounty on their head. Bounties are announced to all the players in the game and they range from 1-9000 dollars for the successful murder of that player. Needless to say these players are going to be on guard. You could be heading to the barber to get a new hairstyle but not realize a player with a bounty of $8000 is on the roof holding off attackers, there will be no questions asked you’ll be shot dead. Stay away from these players, they will be expecting hostility from anyone who approaches unless of course you’re out to claim the bounty, in that case you’re on your own. You can also become the victim of a bounty, other players can place them on you, but you can also be set up by random NPCs. When you steal cars from NPCs sometimes you’ll get a text message saying you messed with the wrong guy “blah blah blah” then you’re notified that a $1000 bounty has been placed on your head. The bounty will follow you if you exit the game world to enter another one so you can either let someone claim it or fight off the would be bounty hunters. $1000 isn’t much so you may not be San Andreas’ most wanted but always keep an eye on the white circles on the map one of them speeding towards you while you have a bounty is usually cause for concern.
