Buckshot recently sat down with MTV News to discuss how he linked up with the “Rap God” Eminem for the collab, “Don’t Front.” Buck recalls Dru-Ha calling him one day, and telling the veteran MC that Em redid Black Moon‘s “I Gotcha Open” record. To give it that Duck Down vibe and flavor, Em would request the presence of Buckshot to help him with the hook and vocals of the song.
Buck would go on to speak about the history of Eminem and Duck Down Records, and he confirmed that Slim Shady was supposed to be a signee to Duck Down before he went to Aftermath. He would close out with “I’m glad that he didn’t sign with Duck Down, I’m so glad he didn’t because everything happens for a reason”
