Last night,  Tyler, The Creator stopped by the Arsenio Hall Show. During the interview, the 22-year-old was just as candid as he’s known to be.  The two talked about everything from his attitude and beliefs to President Obama and the Youtube Awards.

When asked about being an advocate for people thinking for themselves, he said “We live in a society where a lot of people are followers and can’t make their said opinions.” He continued on to give examples of his friends going to college for their parents, rather than themselves. The point: think for yourself and be happy in the long run.

After kicking his feet up on what he deemed a comfortable couch, Tyler joked “They like black people on this network.” At this point, the conversation got deeper.

Watch the interview below where Tyler, The Creator talks about racial slurs, Frank Ocean and his upcoming carnival.
