This past Tuesday may be a night that Trinidad James will regret for a long time. During a performance, the Atlanta rapper had a few words for New York rappers; stating that the South was running the game and that he was upset with NYC rappers response to Kendrick Lamar‘s “Control” verse. Maino heard James’ word and quickly shared his opinions on Twitter, making fun of his dentistry and calling out his fellow Birthplace rappers.
Today, Hot 97 woke the Brooklyn emcee up to further discuss the incident. Maino was very understanding and even pointed out that James had a point, but still crossed the line. Stating that it was disrespectful for him to talk down to New Yorkers when he is in New York. His passion could definitely be felt throughout the interview, which you can check out below.
