Leading Lady: Selita Ebanks
Runaway was Ye’s first foray back into the public eye following his controversial interruption of Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMA’s. The song was great, his ensuing album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, was great and the creativity was flowing at such a strong rate for Mr. West that he decided to shoot a 30 minute film based around the song and album. To play his love-interest in the film, a mythical phoenix, Ye casted the breathtaking Selita Ebanks. Selita is perhaps best known for her 4 year stint as one of Victoria Secrets angels, gracing runways in her wings and making all of the underwear and lingerie brands goods look good. Selita has appeared in Vogue and Sports Illustrated’s coveted Swimsuit Edition as well as modeling for upscale brands like Neiman Marcus and Ralph Lauren. One thing is for sure: Ye’s dark twisted fantasy was definitely beautiful.
