Last night’s mid-season finale of The Walking Dead left us all crying like Florida Evans when James died…’Why?! Why?! Whyyyy?!’

The Walking Dead gave us all what we were looking for wrapped up in one season. Zombies, grenades, tanks, and fatalities led the mid-season episode. Here’s the top shocking moments that left fans anxious for the show’s return February 9th

1. After unexpectantly capturing Herschel and Michonne, the Governor tells them that he won’t hurt them, but he does expect them to help him take over the prison. Michonne replies that she is going to kill him. History tells us that Michonne keeps her word.

2. The Governor convinces the new group that he wants to take over the prison as peacefully as possible, as reluctant as they are, they rally up and head over to the prison leaving Lilly and Meghan behind. The Gov should know by now that reluctant militant groups don’t perform well.

3. Rick finally informs Daryl about Carol and he doesn’t take the news so good. Daryl and Rick head over to tell Tyreese who is more concerned with a rat stapled to the floor? We still aren’t clear on who has been playing with rats but the thought is interrupted by a bomb set off by the Governor.

4. The Governor flanked with his new crew and hostages Herschel and Michonne plus more ammo than the prison group and demand that Rick comes down to negotiate. Only problem is there is no room for negotiation, the new group want to take over the prison and give them until sundown to hit the road.

5. Rick begs and pleads that his group is sick and they could all share the prison but the Governor is up to his old tricks. Herschel pleads for peace before giving the same smile as Malcolm X before he was killed. The Gov slices Herschel’s neck and the war is on!

6. The healthy members of the prison group shoot and take down the new group with the surprise help of Carol’s adopted daughters who save Tyreese’s life. Daryl comes close to being walker meat and unleashes a barrage of grenades that leaves us wondering why he didn’t use them from the start?

7. Lilly loses ‘Mother Of The Year’ award by letting Meghan dig near the river when a walker emerges from the mud only to bite her neck.

8. Lilly brings a dead Meghan to the prison and the Governor shoots the girl in the head and unleashes his rage on Rick. Michonne seals the deal by saving Rick’s life who is being bludgeoned by the Governor. Michonne guts the Governor like a fish and Lilly finishes the job by putting a bullet in the Gov’s head.

9. The prison group leave on the bus as planned, but many of them were left behind. Carl and Rick search the prison for Judith only to find an empty bloody car seat. Rick breaks down in tears once again.

10. The group is broken up again, The Governor is dead, Herschel is gone and we can’t find Judith.

Tune in February 9, 2014 to AMC TV to find out the dramatic continuation of The Walking Dead!
