Talib Kweli is close to dropping his new project to close out a stellar year of Hip-Hop. The New York rapper recently let go of his next single off Gravitas. With Statik Selektah behind the boards, Talib and The Underachievers go in on “New Leaders”.
The 11-track album features the likes of Black Thought, Rah Digga, Raekwon and more. With production credits from legends like OhNo, Q-Tip, and Lord Quest, the follow-up to Prisoners of Conscious is a direct product of Talib.
“When you pre order my newest project, Gravitas, available Dec 15th, you will be buying it directly from me, no middleman, and I will now have a direct relationship with you,” Talib Kweli posted on kweliclub.com. “Who needs this industry when we have each other. The technology exists for me to have this relationship with the fans, and vice versa. It is a grand experiment. Let’s go for it!”
