F*ck your 2013, says Mrs. Carter

In a move that absolutely no one saw coming–unless you remember Columbia Records exec Rob Stringers interview with Billboard in which he hinted at some big-time releases happening during the last month of this year–Beyonce just released her fifth studio album, Beyonce, to the masses, a 17-track album that comes with corresponding music videos for every single song that were shot while she made her rounds on the Mrs. Carter World Tour.

The album features guest appearances from Drake, Jay Z, Frank Ocean and Justin Timberlake, and contributions from everyone from Pharrell to Sampha, Hit-Boy to Timbaland, and her former Destiny’s Child co-stars Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Talk about #newrules. The album is available in digital form until December 20th, when the entire project will be available at retailers worldwide. The direct link to purchase the album is below, expect the next few days to be, well, hectic.
