Trick Daddy & Twista
“Could it be that I’m lost, gettin soft, or just fallin in love?”; since these words were first spoke on Trick Daddy’s “Could It Be” the stage was set for what could be one of the best pairing of two decorated hip hop veterans possible. The way Trick’s second verse ends and Twista’s starts so seamlessly is a perfect transition; even the way Twista finished his verse to fit the song’s motif with the line “is it all in the bud or am I fallin love?” is really nothing less than beautiful. Their second endeavor came on the Lil Jon assisted “Lets Go” which went on to be possibly the biggest song of either artists career. It’s hard to put a finger on why these two work so well; maybe its the dichotomy of Trick’s slow effortless flow mixed with Twista’s rapid fire, high intensity spitting. Whatever the reason this is a collaboration that needs to happen, if not for an album AT LEAST for another song or two.
