The Los Angeles Lakers all-star guard will miss the next six weeks due to a fractured left knee. The injury occurred Tuesday in the Lakers’ win against the Memphis Grizzlies.  Today an MRI exam revealed that Bryant actually played throughout parts of the game after suffering the damage to the tibial plateau in his left knee.

It’s no secret that Bryant has surpassed his peak as the best player in the NBA, courtesy Lebron James, and with just a two-year contract extension worth almost $50 million, how much more can the 35-year-old contribute to the game.
