After Wednesday’s 113-107 defeat to the Wizards, the Brooklyn Nets head south down I-95 south tonight to take on the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. Paul Pierce had his best game as a Net on Wednesday scoring 27 points for the against a young and quick Wizards team.

The last time the Nets and Sixers met was Monday. The Nets won that game 130-94. Joe Johnson finished that game with a game high 37 points. He scored 29 points in the 3rd quarter alone. He also made eight 3-pointers in the third quarter, a record set by former Milwaukee Buck Michael Redd on February 20, 2002 against the Houston Rockets.

Following tonight’s game, the 9-16 Nets have some home cooking heading at the Barclays Center heading into the Christmas holiday. They have a three-game homestand with the red-hot Indiana Pacers coming to town on Monday. The Nets have an afternoon matinee with the Bulls on Tuesday and take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. They’ll finish the week on Saturday with a road game out in Indiana with the Pacers.
