The National Football League owners are organizing a private gala for the Super Bowl this year and were hoping to obtain an A-list artist to perform for the 1,500 in attendance on the exclusive guest list. The NFL owners’ had both Eminem and Kanye West high on their priority list however both artists allegedly already denied their proposals demanding a payout in the millions.

R&B singer Janelle Monae has benefited the most as she has been booked to perform at the party for the cost of $150,000. Bruno Mars has already been revealed to be the half time performer so a hip-hop performer seems extremely necessary.

The Super Bowl will air on FOX on February 2nd, 2014.
