“Trophies up next”
Drake‘s end-of-December hard drive dump has been rumored to have the “Wu-Tang Forever” remix on it, Casey Veggies‘ new single (which he’s featured on), and a couple other new joints that didn’t make Nothing Was The Same, including the Hit-Boy-produced, oft-talked about “Trophies”. What we didn’t see coming was “We Made It”, a Worst Behaviour-themed celebratory round of applause from Drake, featuring the seemingly dormant Soulja Boy, complete with an introduction from Kenny Powers (reminiscent of Aziz Ansari opening up “All Me”), and, of course, Drake’s favored “Versace” flow.
With everyone waiting up past 5 am for the new music, last night, Drake hinted that the song everyone’s really waiting for (“Trophies”), would be out tonight. New Year’s anthems on deck. Just wait on it.
