Since Odd Future first burst onto the scene it’s been an almost universally agreed upon fact that while Tyler is the leader & Frank Ocean is the transcendent star the guy who might be the overall most talented and certainly the best rapper is none other than Earl Sweatshirt. So after years of anticipation, your peers more than exceeding expectations, and you creating a firestorm of sorts by god forbid having an opinion on the great Jay Z’s new album; what else can you do besides drop an album that is undeniably great. On the first listen you’d be hard pressed to find anything wrong with Doris, from a lyrical, production or content point of view. But it’s replay value is what truly makes this project something special, over time this album gets better and better, a trait that in this instant & digital generation we are sorely lacking.
