Belvedere Vodka celebrated New Year’s Eve in Miami at SLS Hotel South Beach with Robin Thicke and musician Skylar Grey. Guests rang in the new year with a Gatsby themed soirée in South Beach complete with Thicke’s live performances including hits”Blurred Lines” and “Give it 2 U.”
Skylar Grey kicked off the festivities performing a cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful.” The event also marked the launch of Belvedere Vodka’s Silver Saber, the first laser cut bottle with light-up LED technology.
Musician Skylar Grey was the first to arrive, dressed appropriately in Gatsby themed attire. The songstress mentioned how she had mixed high and low fashions for her look and was looking forward to her performance
Robin Thicke arrived soon after, dressed in a festive black suit and wearing sunglasses. Wife Paula Patton was noticeably absent although rumored to be also staying with Robin at the hotel
Skylar Grey kicked off the night’s performances with a rendition of Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful.” She said that she felt the song appropriate given the evening’s Great Gatsby theme and mentioned how she had learned the song the evening before.
Robin Thicke surprised the crowd with his rendition of “Give it 2 U.” He started the set walking through the crowd singing and ended up dancing onstage for a full performance. At the end of his performance he counted down the new year breaking into a rendition of his hit “Blurred Lines” and wishing the crowd a happy 2014.
