Hercules lived his life with the love of his mother, and the resentment of his father, King Amphitryon, as well as his older brother Iphicles. Even though Hercules is decent and loyal to his brother, Iphicles sees Hercules as a threat and decides to marry Hercules’ one true love Hebe. When King Amphitryon announces that Iphicles will be taking Hebe’s hand in marriage, he also states that Hercules will go and fight with the royal army in order to strike down the revolts that have started against King Amphitryon’s rulership.

Once Hercules is sent to fight, King Amphutryon arranges for Hercules to be slaughtered, along with the company of his men. After a short battle in which the victor believes he has killed Hercules, he sells the two living soldiers into slavery, where they must fight in order to stay alive. King Amphitryon now believing he has killed her son, kills Queen Alcmene with her own dagger. Little does he know that of the two soldiers that survived, one of them is Hercules.  Hercules and Sotiris, his loyal companion prove to be the best gladiators in Sicily, they travel to Greece where Hercules will fight against the 6 best gladiators in Rome. Once Hercules has fought and proved himself victorious he gathers an army to rebel against King Amphutryon and Iphicles which is made up of both soldiers and peasants. As Hercules fights his army of rebels, he realizes his step-fathers army is too large and will soon over power them, therefore he relies on help from his true father Zeus, who instills Hercules with the power of a lightning sword in order to attack his father. Then once he is in front of King Amphitryon, he asks him to fight him as equal mortals, just one versus the other, as to not shed unnecessary lives of his people.
