The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards were held on Jan. 12 at the The Beverly Hilton Hotel. Last year’s hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler kept the show moving with hilarious skits and jokes.

Director Steve McQueen’s “12 Years A Slave,” won the last award of the night for Best Motion Picture Drama.  “American Hustle” won several awards including Best Motion Picture Comedy, Best Supporting Actress in A Comedy Jennifer Lawrence and Best Actress in a Comedy Amy Adams. Other highlights included Leonardo DiCaprio snagging the Best Actor in a Comedy for “Wolf of Wall Street,” “Gravity” winning Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron, and Andy Samberg’s new show winning two awards, to name a few. As the race to the Oscars continues, it appears that no one film will win big, but many films will win a few awards. Also, “Breaking Bad” finally won at the awards show and it was a big moment. Diddy and Usher presented the two awards in music with Kate Beckinsale and all eyes were on actress Lupita Nyong’o.
