Since first bursting onto the scene in 2010/2011 Action Bronson has pulled some pretty incredible feats (and no I don’t mean the triple cartwheel into a split that he’s been known to do). Arguably the most impressive is how prolific of an artist he is, while still keeping fans salivating for more. From March 2011 to now (Jan 2014) he has released a total of 2 albums, 3 mixtape and one EP, but if you ask the average fan, or really anyone who listens to hip hop nowadays, one of the projects they are most waiting on is “The Debut Album From Action Bronson”. A large part of this is Bronson signing to and become the face of Vice Records (distributed through Warner Bros) in August 2012. Many were surprised by Bronson’s decision to sign with a “major” seeing as he was making incredible strides as an independent artist. However he’s managed to avoid any deterring of his momentum thanks to his continuing to release independent music (he’s released 3 projects since getting signed) as well as Vice Media’s incredibly well calculated moves and backing; like having him cook at and headline this summers insane Bushwick Bodega Concert, and who could forget his nursing home visit. What about the album? Whats most interesting is that all of Actions projects have been crafted by one sole producer; but he has gone on record saying you can expect all of the people he’s worked with to have beats on his “debut album”. Expect features from some (not all) of the usual suspects like Meyhem Lauren, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, Mac Miller, Chance The Rapper, Smoke Dza, or really any one of the 100 or so people who Bronson has featured on over the last few years.
