You won’t hear this one on the radio.
And not because it doesn’t deserve several spins on music airwaves but simply because it wasn’t made for radio play. Getting ready for the release of his upcoming mixtape 1990+, set to drop in 10 days, Jae Millz delivers another exclusive freestyle. It’s his second of the year and another recording over a throwback track.
About a week ago Millz dropped his “T.R.O.Y.” freestyle where he spits bars over the classic record “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” by Pete Rock & CL Smooth. On this latest offering he raps over Noreaga’s 1998 classic posse cut “Banned From T.V.,” the Swizz Beatz produced track that featured fellow NY rappers Nature, Big Pun, Cam’ron, Jadakiss and Styles P. Feeling left out from the collaboration, Millz decides to add some new vocals to the track and it appears that this is the formula for his forthcoming project. It seems Millz has been digging through crates of 90’s records and will be adding some new rhymes to the sounds of a past era. Check out what he does to this joint.
