Tell us about the day you got the phone call confirming your deal.

Tracy T: When I first talked to him, I was geekin. I was so hyped up, I was pacing when I was on the phone. I was happy man. It was like a process before I was all the way signed. But I already knew I was signed by the treatment I was getting. That had me excited.

Fat Trel: I was in the studio when I got the call. My manager had called me and told me that he had a email for me to read. I was reading it and it had “Atlantic” and “MMG” on the top of the paper so that was a crazy and emotional feeling for me. I was just in the studio recording though.

How did you celebrate?

Tracy T: There was a signing party but that’s all the celebrating I did. I just been grinding since then.

Fat Trel: You know, go out to your favorite spot in the city, get you something to eat, get you something to drink and have a great time. Celebrate and make a toast.

What are you working on right now?

Tracy T: I got a mixtape coming soon and an album coming real soon too. I know the mixtape will be for sure before the album so I’m in the process of getting everything together.

Fat Trel: Along with my recent mixtape SDMG, I released my new single “She Fell In Love” and we just shot the video with DRE films. Shout out to DRE films, John J and all them. We just gonna take it one day at a time. The big homie got the biggest album of the year dropping March 4 so we gonna let him pull the strings and call the shots of what we need to do and get it done.

Now that you’re officially affiliated with the label, where do you think you’re going to take MMG?

Tracy T: I bring the energy. It’s going to open up other avenues. I just want to bond as much as I can man. It’s a whole other vibe with me because I’m from Atlanta so I’ll be able to add that Atlanta flavor. You already got Miami, Philly, and DC. Each individual bring their own swag into it.

Fat Trel: I’m going to take it to the triple X, no holds barred, hardcore rap. I wanna be the Ol’ Dirty Bastard of MMG. If not, on a whole other level. I just want to represent the have not’s. The people who really don’t give a f*ck on a daily basis who will do anything to survive.
