Joan Rivers is a seasoned Roast and insult comedian, with a notorious past of saying some of the most controversial statements whenever she opens her mouth. And everyone loves her for it. She is the co-host of E! Network’s “Fashion Police” and has toured the world on multiple occasions, bring her brand of tongue way into the cheek comedy to the willing public. However, this time she may have ruffled the wrong feathers.
North West is arguably, one of the most sought after celebrities in the world…and she is only seven months old. Daughter to Rapper Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, she is pop-culture royalty and the future of many tabloids successes. Unfortunately, being in the public eye so young makes you susceptible to the same treatment as star or industry veteran.
At a recent stand up show, Madam Rivers explained to her audience that she had seen her E! Network co-worker and daughter in person. Following that statement with perhaps one of her most underhanded comments in sometime: “That baby is ugly … I’ve never seen a 6-month-old so desperately in need of a waxing.” It is topical, since there has been a public outcry over a picture that surfaced with Kim and North, where it looked like new born had gone through her first eyebrow waxing. However, her mother dispelled that rumor and stated it was ridiculous.
Something tells us that Joan Rivers is just the first comedian to try her luck against the combined forces of the Kardashians and West. Kanye may speak out on the subject, which would be a sight to see, and definitely covered on the Source. Stay tuned to find out what happens in the next few days.
