Not the best, the most important.
Buzzfeed is no stranger to making lists. They have recently came up with their list for “The Most Important Rapper For Every Major City” and they did a great job. As Buzzfeed acknowledges, the following rankings are based on both artistic merit and cultural influence.
The list contains obvious choices like Kanye West for Chicago and Eminem in Detroit but also a few that may start some debates amongst fans. Of course they had to break up New York by area and it was no surprise Jay Z represented Brooklyn and Nas representing Queens.
