The LOX Bring Back Original Rap On New Track “Boom Bap”

boombapAll the other hard hitters, they come from Yonkers.

Following up on their four-track EP The Trinity which was released last month, The LOX drops a new joint “Boom Bap” over a KRS-One sample. In their purest form yet still raw, the three Yonkers crew members trade vicious bars on the track produced by Black Saun and The Beat Embassy. Sheek Louch sets it off first, then Styles P follows up, and of course Jadakiss delivers the knockout punch. Hopefully this is a warm-up to what they have in store for 2014. Prior to The Trinity, the last project from the group was in 2000, way too long ago. Almost 20 years later since they came together in 1996, these gritty rhyme veterans continue to produce some of the hottest street anthems in rap music. They’re set to drop their second studio album We Are Streets 2 this year and the anticipation couldn’t be any higher. Until then, check out their latest rhymes here.
