However, Grammy winner Lorde is setting the record straight regarding her age with the release of her birth certificate.
The Hairpin purchased Lorde’s birth certificate from the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs for $17.02, putting to rest all those whispers about her date of birth.
The New Zealand singer is 17 years old!
The budding singer reached heights with her critically acclaimed single, “Royals.” The single earned her Grammy wins for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year. Rappers Rick Ross, Wale and Magazeen jumped on the chart topping single adding a MMG touch to the track.
