SMS Audio to sponsor NASCAR team Swan Racing.
50 Cent and SMS Audio are partnering with NASCAR team Swan Racing. The hustler from Southside Jamaica, Queens never misses an opportunity to cover more ground as an entrepreneur. From rapping, to expanding to ventures in beverage deals, clothing apparel, boxing promotions, film production and acting, 50 is a marketing machine. NASCAR is unfamiliar territory but we expect the partnership to be another notch on 50’s belt.
SMS Audio was founded by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in August 2011. The brand manufactures a line of headphones, related accessories and branded apparel. Swan Racing owner Brandon Davis is excited about the partnership.
“I’m an entrepreneur, 50’s an entrepreneur. That piece is it, is the synergy that pulled it all together,” Davis tells nascar.com. “You have two entrepreneur-minded people coming together. … NASCAR’s structure, it really allows for and opens the door for entrepreneurs to come in and use this platform for different kinds of marketing opportunities, and this is one of them.”
The deal is on for multiple years and the Swan Racing crew hopes to make SMS Audio the primary sponsor. Almost everything 50 touches turns to gold so we are looking forward to what is in the works for him and the Swan Racing crew. Will this partnership lead to a bigger hip-hop presence in NASCAR? Only time will tell.
