Last week on the BET hit series, Being Mary Jane, Mary Jane is caught by her brother missing around with Andre and he is aware that Andre is married. She is once again conflicted about her feelings for Andre and doesn’t give him an answer to his marriage proposal. Patrick celebrates his two year anniversary of being sober and MJ spends time with him. They go to their Aunt Toni’s house and reminisce about the good times they had growing up. Acknowledging that she has an addiction to Andre, Patrick and MJ make a promise that if they relapse they have to call each other not to slip up.
This week, Mary Jane goes out with her friends to a club and she kept texting Andre but he didn’t respond. When she went home, she tries online dating and eventually found a date. Mary Jane’s mother, Helen discovers that her bracelet is missing and they tried to look for it in the house.
Andre is at Mary Jane’s house trying to spend some time with her but she revealed that she is currently doing online dating and that she wasn’t waiting for him forever. Mary Jane’s friend invited her to speak at one of her events and she eventually told her yeah.
Mary Jane finally meets her online date Shawn (who is played by Wayne Brady) and she was distracted by her phone the whole time on the date. Kara’s changes prove too much for Mark as she mistakenly calls him gay despite Mary Jane telling her that he is gay. Helen accuses Patrick’s wife, Tracey of stealing her bracelet and she pleads her case to Helen telling her that she didn’t steal the bracelet.
Helen kicked Tracey out of the house and Patrick admitted that he used drugs but stopped. When Mary Jane went to her friend’s event to be the guest speaker, she ran into Avery. Avery were telling the other women that she found out that her husband was cheating on her unbeknownst to them that Mary Jane is the other woman that her husband is seeing.
When it was her time to do the speech, she was throwing subliminals about what it takes to be number one and not number two. Mary Jane continued to see Shawn despite that he was married and when she got home, Andre revealed to Mary Jane that he is officially divorcing Avery and that he wants to officially be with her.
